Aggregation
At GMPack we are packaging aggregated products in accordance to the Russian Federal Law, which is developed to increase the safety of medical pharmaceuticals. Unfortunately, counterfeited products are an increasing problem in our globalized world where complex supply chains and distribution systems allow counterfeited products to enter the market without detection. Aggregation is the newest tool in the box for securing and gaining visibility into the supply chain. With an aggregation system you have the possibility to always know exactly which products are where and gain a complete overview of the contents of any container at a glance. This transparency allow an unprecedented overview of the supply chain and enables the user to immediately discover if products have been removed or added in the supply chain. Combined with serialization you can have a bulletproof system where you have the security and transparency to eliminate the risk of counterfeiting and gain a better overview of your supply chain. The advantages of aggregation is driving the adaptation of the technology around the world, and for pharmaceutical products it is beginning to become a requirement for selling products on markets. At GMPack we wish to be able to provide the best solutions to our customers and we are ready to aggregate and we can even produce in compliance with the new advanced requirements for aggregation with crypto codes for the Russian federation.
How does it work?
Aggregation is a legal requirement in Russia for products released after October 2019. Experts predict that aggregation could spread to the rest of the world. In GMPack the process of aggregation follows serialization of the products in which each product is equipped with a unique 2D-code. By scanning these codes on our aggregation machine, the individual products are associated to the next level of the packaging hierarchy e.g. the shipper boxes. These shipper boxes are equipped with their own SSCC number entailing information about what this specific shipper box carries. The shipper boxes are placed on pallets and each of these pallets are also equipped with their own unique SSCC number. This means that during aggregation of medical pharmaceuticals, we capture the parent-child relationship between the different packaging levels of the product. This includes everything from the individual products to larger pallets of the medical pharmaceutical. Which means that by scanning the barcode on a pallet, one can obtain information about each shipper box and each product aggregated on this specific pallet. At GMPack we are using Tracelink as an interface for the databases of the authorities and costumers. We are using Vimachem for managing the site-level serialization operations and machinery from Wipotec for the aggregation of the pharmaceutical products.
